College Station’s Top Study Spots
Welcome to Texas A&M’s fall semester! If this is your first year at the university, then you have plenty of exciting times ahead of you. Now is the start of football season and tailgate parties, core classes, dorm room decorations, and new friend hangouts. It’s going to be a busy, perhaps one of the busiest, times of your life.
Amidst all of this, it’s important to find some quiet time in a suitable environment to study for your courses. If you’re tired of hanging out in Evan’s Library, then you’ll love this list of top study spots in College Station:
Where to Go When You Need to Study in College Station
- TAMU Rec Center. Did you know that the best WiFi isn’t found in the school’s library but rather in the Rec Center? This amazing flagship facility should definitely be on your list of places to check out as soon as possible. In addition to the indoor climbing walls, lap pool, and archery room, there are plenty of places tucked inside and out where you can set up your laptop and zone out on studying. They even serve food when you’re in need of a snack break.
- Denny’s. Don’t underestimate the benefits of this restaurant. The location across from the school’s polo fields is open 24-hours, free WiFi, cheap coffee with unlimited refills, and delicious hot meals. Even better there’s a back room, generally reserved for parties, that is full of outlets and often open for students needing to pull a late or even all-nighter. Just remember to tip well.
- Sweet Eugene’s House of Java. The aforementioned places are bound to have a nook for you to study in no matter the time of day or night. Sweet Eugene’s isn’t quite the same. You have to get here early if you want to snag a table or couch but it’s well worth the effort. This College Station cafe is a crowd favorite because of its eclectic atmosphere, great espresso drinks, and delicious donuts. Some donuts here are even available for under a dollar — a big boon for students with small wallets.

Open day and night, you’ll find multiple study rooms and areas that awaiting your books, laptop, and other study materials.
