The Best of the Best Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas for Your TAMU Parties

  • Riverdale (Various). With the launch of the third season of Riverdale, what better time than now to share your love of the show? Best of all, you can find the right digs for most of these characters at a thrift store or on Amazon. The hardest might be those who want to go as a South Side Serpent because while the basics are pretty easy (dark shirts, dark pants, and a leather jacket), to really sell it you need the iconic patch. A patch which is currently sold out on Hot Topic an Amazon, but you can find some versions on Etsy.
  • Tom Cruise (Shirt+Sunglasses). Tom Cruise continues to be a top actor, with four new movies going to be out between 2018 and 2019. But honestly, few shots of the guy will ever be as iconic as this tube sock dancing scene. It’s funny and affordable! Bonus points on this costume if you can nail the dance!
  • Apes**t, The Carters-inspired (Pastel Formal). Want to reference something more current? What about building up a costume reminiscent of Beoncye and Jay-Z’s vid for their hit Apes**t? You could also put together a basic angel get-up and go as the contemplative angel in that first scene. Easy. Classic. And a nod to those in the know. All hail Queen B!
  • Freddy Mercury. The film Bohemian Rhapsody featuring the amazing Rami Malek as the beloved rockstar isn’t technically coming out until November 3, the weekend after Halloween. Yet, we anticipate that the lead up to this film is going to mean a lot of Queen-related costumes. And why not! There’s so much to do with this! Check out this article on everything stylish Freddie Mercury to get some ideas. Or, if you prefer Malek to Mercury, check out these ideas for a Mr. Robot costume (hint, it’s really just a lot of black). Bonus points if you channel the Bicycle Race video.
