Best of all, you can find the right digs for most of these characters at a thrift store or on Amazon. The hardest might be those who want to go as a South Side Serpent because while the basics are pretty easy (dark shirts, dark pants, and a leather jacket), to really sell it you need the iconic patch. A patch which is currently sold out on Hot Topic an Amazon, but you can find some versions on Etsy.
  • Tom Cruise (Shirt+Sunglasses). Tom Cruise continues to be a top actor, with four new movies going to be out between 2018 and 2019. But honestly, few shots of the guy will ever be as iconic as this tube sock dancing scene. It’s funny and affordable! Bonus points on this costume if you can nail the dance!
  • Apes**t, The Carters-inspired (Pastel Formal)Want to reference something more current? What about building up a costume reminiscent of Beoncye and Jay-Z’s vid for their hit Apes**t? You could also put together a basic angel get-up and go as the contemplative angel in that first scene. Easy. Classic. And a nod to those in the know. All hail Queen B!
  • Freddy Mercury. The film Bohemian Rhapsody featuring the amazing Rami Malek as the beloved rockstar isn’t technically coming out until November 3, the weekend after Halloween.
