Places to Go & Things to Do to Stay Fit Around Campus

  • Check-in at the Junction’s 24-Hour Clubhouse.  You don’t have to stray very far to meet your fitness goals for 2018. Just a few hundred feet from your front door is the 24-hour Junction clubhouse that boasts an array of the finest exercise equipment. Get a full cardio workout on our Elliptical machines or get your arm day in the specialized weight room.
  • Get your skate on at Spirit Ice Arena.  If you’re itching for a bit more of an athletic workout, then head down to nearby Spirit Ice Arena during their open skate hours. Ice skating offers incredible health and fitness benefits like building leg muscles and improving balance and joint flexibility. Plus, it’s simply fun and harkens in the winter spirit.
  • Bike the city and the country.  College Station isn’t a large, sprawling town. There’s a lot to do and see within the city limits and just a few miles away from your apartment at the Junction Cottages & Townhomes. You can see it all and get fit and save money by switching to a bike for commuting. Don’t have a bike? Check out Bike Barn, an Aggie owned and operated College Station bike store. They’ll help get you on a great bike you can afford this month.
  • Go for a hike.  Looking for a more low-key way of staying fit around campus? Never forget, walking is still honest. The College Station area has a ton of great hiking locales that are great for the scenery. Get started with the trails at the 515-acre Lick Creek Park or the 10-mile Lake Bryan trail.
